The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET- May, 2018) AP TET 2018 Notification  is being conducted by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh in all 13 Districts of the State through a Computer Based Test. The objective is to ensure National Standards and benchmark of Teacher quality in the recruitment process in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

All candidates who possess D.Ed. / B.Ed. / Language Pandit / U.G.D.P.Ed./ D.P.Ed./ B.P.Ed. or its equivalent qualifications and candidates pursuing final year of the said courses during the academic year 2017-2018 with requisite percentage of marks obtained as given in information bulletin of APTET can appear for APTET-2018 Further, the candidates who got qualified in the earlier APTETs can also apply for 7th APTET-2018, if they desire improvement over their previous TET score AP TET 2018 Notification

AP TET 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

Education Qualification for AP TET Paper – I ( I to V Classes Teacher Post  )

  • Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
  • However in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.
  • AND pass in 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Education Qualification for AP TET Paper – II ( VI to VIII Classes Teachers Post)

  • The Candidates should complete B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks.
  • In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%.
  • AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) .
  • Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (OR) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (OR) Graduation in Literature (OR) Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.

Incentive Marks to the Physical Education TET candidates

under three categories as listed below.

30 Marks:

  1. International level participation representing India
  2. National level Medal Winners
  3. All India Inter University Medal Winners
  4. All India Federation cup Medal Winners
  5. National School Games medal Winners

  1. Note:  i) If the candidate is having more than one certificate achieved at International, National
    or State level. The certificate secure at high level will be considere. At any rate a combination of all certificates will not be considere.
  2. Participation in veteran Championship (Master men, Master women), Invitation tournaments, Private tournaments and occasional tournaments are not considere.
  3. The list of Games and Sports for considering the incentive marks is given in Annexure.
  4. 20% Weightage marks for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) of the State Government for Physical Education candidates will be considered on the basis of Written Marks + Incentive Marks. 20% Weightage marks will be arrived by limiting total marks to 150 only.

Pass Criteria in TET Paper- I, Paper-II (A) & (B):

Note

  •  Physically Handicapped with at least 40% handicap only will be considered in respect of Visually Handicapped and Orthopedically Handicapped. With regard to Hearing Impair, minimum 75% handicap will be consider under PH category. 11
  •  It is to be noted that if a candidate has been allowed to appear in the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test it does not imply that the candidate?s eligibility has been verified. Further qualifying the APTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment / employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment. The eligibility shall finally be verified by the concerned recruiting agency / appointing authority.
  •  It is further clarified that appearance or a pass in APTET by itself will not vest any right in a candidate to be considered for appointment to the post of Teacher in Government / Zilla Parishad / Mandal Parishad / Municipal and Private Aided Schools, unless she/he is in possession of the qualifications prescribed for appointment to such post in the relevant statutory recruitment rules framed by State Government from time to time as on the date prescribed there in for possession of such qualifications
