Zonal Wise District List in Telangana
Telangana State have presently only 2 Zones, which were created from undivided Andhra Pradesh 10 Districts in 1975 with an aim to provide equitable job opportunities for job seekers in all districts, while the other four zones are in AP covering Andhra and Rayalaseema districts.
The local candidates of Telangana, apart from the 95% reservation in their district, zone and multi zone can also compete for the 5% open quota in any other district, zone or multi zone. This in effect would enable candidates local to Telangana to compete for all the 100% vacancies in any district, zone or multi zone. Further, a local candidate of Telangana can compete for the district cadre posts in his local district and zonal cadre posts in the zone where the candidate’s district is located

Telangana Govt thinking to increase new zones as per the districts. Which were increased new districts from 10 to 31 districts on Oct 2016 .
In the zones, 70 per cent of government jobs will revise for locals of a particular district and 30 per cent will be merit quota under which both locals and non-locals can compete.
Telangana State proposed new multi-zones,
there will be 60 per cent quota for locals and 40 per cent merit quota for locals and non-locals. In district-level posts, the reservations for locals will be 80 per cent and merit quota will be 20 per cent

At present we have 2 Zones Zone V and Zone VI. But, new govt passed the bill to increase the zones according to newly formed districts. As of now, we need to wait to get clarity on no. Of zones. They are mention in the bill. Mostly, we will get to know after presidential assent to the bill.
